Facebook Usage Drops by 26% since 2017

Facebook usage has dropped by 26% since 2017, as per a news report gathered by Active Inc. The research revealed that users have been spending quite less time on Facebook over the past two years.

In the study, it was unveiled that back in 2017, Americans used to spend almost 14 hours per month on Facebook. But, now in 2019, the average Facebook used by users has gone down to 9 hours per month. So in percentage, the Facebook usage has dropped by 26% since 2017.

Another finding of the survey was that currently, the social media users in the U.S. belong to approx. 5.8 various other social media networks. Thus, the study predicts that this number will go up to over 10 in the next 4 years. The younger users, as per the survey, age 12 to 34 are moving towards other social media websites like TikTok, Snapchat, and Facebook-owned Instagram.

Even though Facebook is still the most popular and used social media app, its problems and security issues can’t be denied.
