Facebook Watch Is Now Live In US

Facebook TV about which we were hearing from a couple of months is now live for all US users. As August ended Facebook made the announcement of launching Facebook Watch and now it’s here and it is Live. The tab of Facebook Watch allows users to watch original shows, which is created by the company and other media stakeholders.

At the moment this tab looks like a copy of YouTube with very limited options. So it looks like Facebook is trying to attract YouTube audience and provide them with an alternate option. Returning the Favor, a new series of Mike Rowe would be featured on the homepage of Facebook Watch. Similarly, Humans of New York also have their very own program.

It seems that Facebook wants to step up its game with Facebook Watch and integrate socialization with television keeping its essence intact.
