First Prototype Of Microsoft Surface Pro 8 Leaked

A first prototype of the Surface Pro 8 appeared last week. After the device was sold, more pictures of the tablet have now been published. While little seems to have changed in the design, Microsoft has improved the inner values.

RS News reported earlier that, the prototype of the Surface Pro 8 was offered on eBay. Since the item could only be picked up on-site in Seattle, only a single bid was submitted. The device changed hands for $ 1,300. The buyer took photos of the Surface Pro 8 and published them on Reddit.

Core i7-1165G7 with 32 GB of RAM

The pictures show that an Intel Core i7-1165G7 is used in the device. Surface Pro 8 also has 32 gigabytes of RAM and a terabyte of SSD storage. The battery capacity is around 50,030 mWh. This should achieve longer runtimes than with the Surface Pro 7, which has a 45,000 MWh battery. However, there is still no support for Thunderbolt 3.

No major design changes visible

In addition, the photos confirm that Microsoft is not introducing any extensive design changes with the Surface Pro 8. It has been rumored for some time that the Redmond company would like to bring a Surface tablet with a completely new look to the market. Of course, there is a possibility that Microsoft will revise the external appearance of the Surface Pro 8 again until the release. The device is to be officially presented in the coming year. However, an exact date is not yet known.
