For laptops, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro update adds Auto Switch

Recently, we learned that the Galaxy earbuds will receive several new audio and cross-device features. As of now, the South Korean tech giant Samsung has begun rolling out the new updates to the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. Reportedly, the new update will make it convenient for users to use the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro with Samsung’s recent laptops and TVs.

In Europe and India, the new firmware version R510XXUOAXB4 was rolled out to the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. It comes with a 6.01MB download size. The Buds Auto Switch function, which pairs wireless earphones with Galaxy laptops and PCs automatically, is a new feature in this version. Laptops from the Galaxy Book 3 and Book 4 series should be able to use this feature.

Therefore, if you are watching videos on your laptop, Galaxy Book, and using the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro to listen to the audio, and a call comes in on your phone, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will instantly switch the connection from your laptop to your phone. In order to use this feature, the devices must run on One UI 4.1.1 (or above) and the Continuity Service app (version 1.2.16 or above). For laptops, the feature requires the version 6.0.0 or latest of the Samsung Settings app.

According to the details mentioned in the changelog of the new update, the stability of the Bluetooth Auracast feature ahs been improved. This means that, audio quality will be improved when you use the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro to join a Bluetooth Auracast audio cast.
