After rolling out the April 2021 security patch, Samsung sends the update to the April 2021 security patch.
Samsung is reportedly releasing the latest security patches for a series of Galaxy handsets. Today it is for the Galaxy A8. This device was released in 2018 and has been getting security updates every three months.
The April 2021 security patch for the Galaxy A8 (2018) has started in many countries in Asia and South America. Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cambodia, Chile, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Russia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the UAE, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam are the countries getting this update from Samsung.
The latest update fixes various security vulnerabilities and fixes 21 issues from Samsung and 30 fixes from Google. A list of firmware according to countries is mentioned below:
- A530FXXSICUC4: Chile, Colombia (Movistar)
- A530FXXSICUD3: UAE
- A530FXXSICUD3: Cambodia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam
- A530FXXSICUD8: Argentia, Brazil, Colombia
- A530NKSU8CUC2: South Korea
For those having this Galaxy smartphone and living in any of the countries mentioned above, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. According to the source, the rest of the countries could expect to receive this update in the next few days.
