Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S21 Getting Second May 2021 Update

After getting their first dose of the May 2021 security patch, Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S21 are now getting ready to receive their second dose.

The changelog is not yet public, so it won’t be possible to say what would come with this update. However, we already know that the first May 2021 update for the Galaxy S20 introduced Dual Recording, whereas the Galaxy S21 update promised improvements to Camera and Quick Share.

According to SamMobile, the new firmware update would bring fixes for a vulnerability affecting Qualcomm’s 5G modems. But since the company hasn’t shared the changelog, it would be crucial to confirm this news.

The early receivers of this update include Europe, with Germany as a confirmed country. The Galaxy S20 update carries firmware version G98xFXXU7DUE1, the Galaxy S21 update carries G99xBXXU3AUE1. Owners of these devices could manually check for the update from the Settings of the phone.
