Samsung is planning for mid-January, as repeatedly reported the launch of its latest high-end smartphones the Galaxy S21 series. After we were recently able to provide all the data on the Galaxy S21 Ultra, we now have official price information for all models.
Samsung is introducing some changes in its price structure with the Galaxy S21 series, whereby in most cases there is an internal memory twice as large for only 50 euros. Basically, the 5G-capable version of the Samsung Galaxy S21 in Europe starts at 849 euros, which means that the manufacturer has reduced the entry-level price by 50 euros compared to the S20 series.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 5G is the entry into Samsung’s next-generation smartphone world for 849 euros. In return, the customer gets the output with 128 gigabytes of internal flash memory, but unlike the predecessor, they have to live with a plastic rear cover. The use of plastic has not yet been confirmed.
If you put 50 euros more, i.e. 899 euros on the table, you will get the Galaxy S21 5G with 256 gigabytes of internal flash memory. An upgrade of the internal memory seems to make sense in view of an important change in the smartphones of the Galaxy S21 series: Samsung does without a microSD card slot for the first time, at least according to our current knowledge, so that you can no longer upgrade with corresponding memory cards.
If you have the Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus 5G, which is equipped with a 6.7-inch OLED screen want to call their own must in the future have to spend a little more money. The starting price, in this case, is 1049 euros, although it starts again with 128 GB of internal flash memory. For 50 euros more than 1099 euros, the customer gets the version with 256 GB.
The same applies to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G. The starting price rises to 1349 euros, whereby you get “only” 128 GB of flash memory even with Samsung’s absolute top model in the S21 series. For 1399 euros it goes up to 256 GB, but if you want the top version with a full 512 GB of internal flash memory, you have to accept a bigger price jump.
The most expensive version of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra costs a whole 1529 euros. In terms of price, the new generation of smartphones from Samsung will not be made of paper in 2021 either. It should be noted that the prices mentioned here are non-binding recommendations.
Due to the different VAT rates in the various European countries, it can still happen that the devices start trading at slightly higher or lower prices in the individual markets. By the way, unlike the S20 series in Europe, 4G variants should no longer exist. Only in a few countries is the S21 basic model also available in an LTE-only version offered – everywhere else 5G is the new standard.
