Samsung updated the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite to Android 14 two months ago. But the upgrade was first made available in South Korea back then. In the USA, the entry-level tablet is now receiving the Android 14 upgrade.
Firmware version T227USQU8DXB4 of the Android 14 (One UI 6.0) upgrade for the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is currently available in the US. For the nation’s carrier-locked LTE devices, this upgrade is accessible. Given the size of the update, downloading it via a Wi-Fi network is recommended.
The December 2023 security patch, which addresses numerous security flaws, is also included in the update. Installing the update on a US-based Galaxy Tab A7 Lite may be done by opening the Settings app, going to Software Update, and selecting Download and Install.
The Quick Panel layout, lock screen clock widget font selections, and emoji design language have all changed with the release of Android 14. Weather Insight and Custom Camera are two more widgets that come with it. A new default font is also included in the update.
Samsung’s stock apps have all been updated with new and enhanced capabilities. The Gallery app now features a new appearance for Stories and offers suggestions for image modification. While the built-in Video Editor has been renamed Studio and is now capable of timeline-based editing and drafting, the built-in Photo Editor has more user-friendly editing controls.
The main screen of the Reminders app has been revamped, and the built-in Calendar app now shows reminders from the app. Unified files are now visible in the Trash folder via the My Files app. New features have also been added to the Samsung keyboard and the Samsung Internet.
A new two-hand motion has been added to move files and things around. The home screen, Calendar, Gallery, and My Files all support these gestures. Within the Samsung Keyboard app, you can select items or subjects from photos and save them as stickers.
