The Geekom GT13 Pro is a mini PC with an Intel Core i9-13900H processor. The manufacturer has installed a 2 TB SSD and 32 GB RAM. Unless you use a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, you’ll quickly notice that the USB-A ports run out faster than you might think. As soon as all input devices have been connected and the monitor has been plugged in, the Geekom GT13 Pro can be started for the first time.
A white LED then lights up in the power button. Windows 11 Pro is preinstalled on the Geekom GT13 Pro. However, alternative operating systems such as Linux are possible. Setting up Windows takes about 15 minutes. After setting up, it is recommended that you go to Windows Update in the settings to get all the latest drivers and operating system updates. Geekom has installed an Acer N7000 SSD inside the GT13 Pro. The internal memory can be expanded, but 2 TB should be enough for most users to start with. The N7000 continues the positive trend of installing fast PCIe Gen4 x4 SSDs inside mini PCs: data can be read at 7103.46 megabytes per second. The write speed lags a bit behind at 6362.53 megabytes per second. In the PC Mark 10 Extended benchmark, the mini PC achieved 5512 points.
This is around 700 points lower than the program’s standard benchmark. Geekom also offers the GT13 Pro with an Intel i7-13620H processor. This configuration also includes 32 GB RAM, but only a 1 TB SSD. The 2 TB SSD is only available in the version with Intel Core i9-13900H. The i9 has 14 cores, 20 threads and clocks at up to 5.4 GHz. The cache is 24 MB. An Intel Iris Xe is responsible for the graphics. The Geekom GT13 Pro supports up to four 4K displays.
Alternatively, an 8K display can be connected. The manufacturer uses DDR4-3200 dual-channel RAM for the memory. The mini PC is cooled with Geekom’s own cooling solution IceBlast 1.5. The solution manages to strike a balance between cooling performance and relatively low noise levels. If you play games on the mini PC or run a benchmark, you can get a good idea of the soundscape during complex tasks. If IceBlast 1.5 is running at full power, a headset is probably a good option while gaming. In everyday life, during video streams or when editing documents, the cooling system cannot be heard. In the regular PC Mark 10 benchmark, the mini PC achieves 6250 points.
The VR Mark benchmark appears to run quite smoothly, but the GT13 Pro’s hardware is not sufficient for virtual worlds. In the “Orange Room” the PC achieves 2320 points, thus taking away any hope of VR adventures. Something similar can be seen in the 3D Mark. Steel Nomand Light was actually tailored to light PCs, but the playback of the content is not exactly smooth. The benchmark is nevertheless very conciliatory and awards 1280 points. This is enough for the test rating “good”. In general, there is a huge library of games that runs on the Geekom GT13 Pro.
Some demanding games, such as Forza Horizon 5, offer a benchmark when starting up that checks the performance of the computer.
