Globally, the Galaxy S24 Ultra could be powered by Snapdragon

Next year, the South Korean tech giant Samsung will bring back the Exynos chipset to its flagship smartphones. Rumors suggest that some units of the Galaxy S24 series will be powered by the Exynos 2400 in some markets while others will be powered by the overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. According to a fresh rumor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra might be powered by the Snapdragon chip globally. On the other hand, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ may arrive with the usual dual-chip approach.

Galaxy S24 Ultra will be powered by a Snapdragon chipset globally

This year, Samsung debuted the Galaxy S23 series with Snapdragon chipsets. It was a good approach to opt for Qualcomm’s chip for the flagships instead of Exynos. Previously, the company stuck with a dual-chip strategy for its flagship series. Samsung debuted the Snapdragon-powered units for the US and Chinese markets, particularly, and the Exynos variant was dedicated to the rest of the markets, including Europe.

Exynos was the main problem with this approach. It presented power, thermal, and performance issues. On the other hand, the Snapdragon versions of Galaxy flagships were more efficient. In order to fill the performance gap, Samsung was forced to adopt an all-Snapdragon approach. However, the company might adopt this approach next year with the Galaxy S24 series.

Reports suggest that the company has improved its chip fabrication technology. Reportedly, Samsung will use the Exynos 2400 variant for the Galaxy S24 series. Going by its previous strategy, the company will debut the Snapdragon version in the US, China, and a few other markets. Whereas the European and some other markets will receive the Exynos version.

In addition to this, the tipster @Tech_Reve, alleges that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon chipsets in all markets. The tipster has not shared any details about the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+. Both of these models will possibly arrive with the dual-chip approach.

Well, nothing is crystal clear as of now since, recently, the tipster Ice Universe claimed that the complete Galaxy S24 series will be powered by the Exynos 2400 variant in the European market. When the company completes all of its preparations and the Galaxy S24 series starts manufacturing, the misunderstanding should dissipate in the upcoming months.
