The gaming world has been in a bit of a tizzy since Sony announced that the highly anticipated God of War Ragnarök will soon be available on PC. Developer Santa Monica Studio has now released the official system requirements that PC gamers will need.
The requirements show that God of War Ragnarök is well optimized. Even players with older hardware like a GTX 1060 and an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 can play the game in 1080p at 30 FPS, albeit with low settings.
God of War Ragnarök will also feature modern upscaling technologies such as Nvidia DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1 and Intel XeSS 1.3. These technologies help increase the frame rate and improve the graphics quality. The game also supports hardware-independent frame generation, unlocked frame rates, true 4K resolution and ultra-widescreen displays.
Of course, full mouse and keyboard support is also offered to give PC gamers the best possible experience. Here are the full specifications:
God of War Ragnarök will be released on September 19th on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Interestingly, the title requires a connection to the PlayStation Network to play, despite its nature as a single-player game.
Sony is also offering a pre-order bonus for PC gamers. Those who pre-order the game will receive the cosmetic items “Kratos Risen Snow Armor” and “Atreus Risen Snow Tunic”. These will be available from the launch of the game and will allow players to start their adventure in style. The announcement and publication of the system requirements for God of War Ragnarök further fuels the anticipation of the PC gamer community. This game will certainly be a highlight in the 2024 gaming calendar – are you waiting for it?
