The tech company Google has added various new Android smartphones to the list of ARCore-compatible devices. Strikingly, the tech firm has added OnePlus Nord 3 to the ATCore list. This move suggests that the device will launch anytime soon either this month or next month.
What is ARCore certification?
ARCore certification is approved by tech firm Google. It approves that a particular Android device can support augmented reality (AR) experiences. Several Android smartphones ad tablets offer this feature in the form of features like Live View in Google Maps. To ensure that customers are receiving the finest AR experiences, the Android creator continues to assess each device from its perspective. It keeps track of all the devices it supports.
After every few weeks, tech firm Google adds new devices to the ARCore support list. Sometimes, a few devices can take longer to receive ARCore certification. Let us understand this by an example. The Pixel 6a was introduced last year in May. However, it made it to the ARCore support list in March 2023. Similarly, the foldable smartphones i.e., Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 introduced in August 2022 received ARCore approval in March 2023.
New devices added to the ARCore list
One thing to notice here is that despite the approval from Google, the devices still offer AI experiences. Recently, the company has added 26 new devices to the ARCore support list. These include devices from ASUS, OnePlus, OPPO, Moto, Nokia, Vivo, Xiaomi, and more. The list includes one device from Asus i.e., Asus ROG Phone 6D Ultimate, three Motorola smartphones: Moto G Power 5G (2023), Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, and Motorola ThinkPhone, two Nokia smartphones: Nokia G50 and Nokia X10, and two devices from OnePlus: OnePlus 11R 5G and OnePlus Nord 3 5G. Furthermore, the list includes five smartphones from Xiaomi (Xiaomi Redmi K60, Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition, Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G) and six smartphones from Vivo (Vivo I2202, Vivo iQOO 9T, Vivo iQOO 11, Vivo V25e, Vivo V27 Pro, and Vivo X90 Pro) and several others.
