Google Announces Over 100 Games For Stadia 2021

Google has announced that it will publish more than 100 games on its own cloud gaming service Stadia this year. The highlights of the featured titles include FIFA 21 and Far Cry 6, which is currently still in development.

As Google announced, more than 100 new games will join the Stadia cloud gaming service over the course of the current year. It starts on February 23 with “Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition” and “Shantae: Risky’s Revenge – Director’s Cut”, which were released for the PC in 2016 and 2014. The first highlight awaits in March with FIFA 21.

Google announced the release of a FIFA game last April. FIFA 20, which was already available at the time, was never available from Stadia. On March 17th, FIFA 21, the current part of EA’s successful sports series, will find its way to Google’s game streaming service.

Far Cry 6 to Stadia

As the internet giant emphasizes again in the current Stadia blog entry, Far Cry 6 is also a real blockbuster on Stadia. Developer Ubisoft has so far been one of the few companies that have published its creations reliably and on time on Google’s cloud gaming service. The newest part of the Far Cry series is currently still in development. A release date is not known at the moment. Without a doubt, Far Cry 6 is also of great importance for Google, as it is currently not possible to attract new customers with an abundance of AAA titles.

In addition, Google announced the end of its own development studio in early February. It was particularly noteworthy that not a single game was announced until the closure. The company justified the controversial move with the costs of developing blockbuster video games. In the future, they want to limit themselves to cooperation with partners.
