Google Chrome Makes All Websites non-WWW in the address bar

Google Chrome has recently rolled out a new change to domain names and web addresses, to keep things simple Google has now hidden the www. From all the domain and displays on the domain name in the browser without www.

It is not clear yet the change is an actual change and Google is going to implement or it’s just a glitch, but it seems Google has rolled out this change purposely to keep the things simple for users so users can type in the direct web address.

However, this change would not affect any websites that start with www. URL it’s only hidden in the address bar, even when you copy the link from the address bar and paste it on social media or somewhere else it shows the full address with www.

The SEOs and Webmasters would not have to worry about this change as it serves as masking and their original web address stays the same.

For instance, if you search daily mail in Google it shows the full web address https://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html in the Google search results, however, when you click on the link and visit the website the https://www. Disappears from the address and shows only dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html in the address bar. It is still unclear yet Google will later apply the changes in the search results or not because currently, the web addresses come with www. In the search results.
