Google Chrome turns 15 this week

In an effort to mark the celebration of Google Chrome’s 15^th birthday, the company has introduced a nice redesign and some new features. Google claims that although it’s been 15 years, Chrome is still going forward with its original goal. The goal of Chrome is to be a fast, reliable, secure, and easy-to-use browser.

Given this new update, users can customize their browser using Material You. Well, it indicates that the feature available on Android and Chrome OS is now making its way to the browser officially. It combines several new color palettes that align better with the toolbar and tabs.

In order for your Chrome preferences to easily adapt to OS-level system settings, Google also claims that they have improved their operating system integration. Dark mode and other settings fall under this category. In addition to this, the Material You redesign has also been rolled out to the Chrome Web Store. The new redesign has now made it easier to locate AI-powered extensions and other features.

You can now conveniently search on Chrome

We are all aware of the fact that the search domain serves as the main revenue stream for Google. Notably, the company is improving the search on Chrome. The team has rolled out new tools and features that provide rapid access to information.

You can choose “Search this page with Google” from the three-dot menu, for instance, on a website. Doing so will reveal a side window for Google Search, where you can delve more deeply into a subject. The Google Search side panel can also be pinned to your toolbar. In order to maintain the security and safety of the browser, Google has introduced a new design for the harmful site page. The harmful sites will now appear in bright red. Of course, a bright red color will be better at grabbing the user’s attention.
