Google Launched Its Own Ad Blocker In Chrome Canary Android

Google New Ad blocker is rolling out, spotted by Techcrunch, the new ad blocker lets you block ads from the sites that tend to show intrusive such as popups or appearing over the content, buttons or disrupt smooth navigation on the site.

Google previously announced that it is considering, launching its own version of ad-blocker in Chrome back in April. Google has planned this initiative because it thinks third party ad-blockers has curbed the overall ad revenues and gaining more popularity among users, third party ad-blockers tend to block entire java script on the site which is harmful to Google, Site owners/publishers and advertisers.

But critics see it in a different perspective, it becomes controversial in the discussions, people say Google wants to continue its dominance over advertising domain with this new ad-blocker which can eventually block ads from its rivals, allowing Google more space to generate revenues while others suffer.

The new Canary build of Chrome on Android shows the Google’s own ad-blocker and how it will work. Google has released its Canary build of Chrome on Monday, Google will roll out ad-blocker globally in early 2018 to target intrusive ads.

By default the ad-blocker will be disabled, you can enable the function to block the sites that tend to show disrupting ads.

According to Google, the ad-blocker will stop showing ads including Google’s if they are not complying with standards, a group coalition is formed in this regard which Google is a member.

The group has also published a set of standards for desktop and mobile browsing and lists of ads are added that are considered intrusive.

According to Zdnet “Google confirmed the ad blocker alongside the launch of Funding Choices, which allows publishers to present a message to visitors using an ad blocker and offer them to pay for a pass that removes all ads on the site. Users would pay the site through Google Contributor.”
