Google Lens added to Google site on Android

Google Lens is now available on Android.

Google is reportedly introducing its Lens across different corners of its ecosystem. Google Lens has been in the industry for around five years. As of now, it has finally made it to the Google site on Android. During Google I/O 2017, Google Lens was launched. At that time it was available as an individual app. The company anticipated that the tool will be used by consumers when searching the world. However, as time passed it started working as an auxiliary service employed in other apps.

For instance, Lens is unified with Google Photos. When viewing the photos, users can turn on the Lens to scan the image. In addition to this, the Google image search on the Chrome browser is also equipped with the Lens. When right-clicking on an image and turning on the Lens the image scans directly from your computer.

Using Google Lens on your Android smartphone is quite easy. but that doesn’t mark that company will stop working on more options for the consumers. As per 9to5Google, when Google is opened using a mobile phone browser, you could see a shortcut to Google Lens. This will substitute the microphone icon used for a voice search.

Upon pressing the Google Lens icon, a square pops up in the middle of the screen. It gives direct access to the app. However, this feature is different in comparison to using Google Lens in Google Photos. When Lens is used in Photos, it scans the picture presented on your mobile screen. However, in the browser, it jumps directly to the Google Lens app.

For utilizing the quick Google Lens scan on your phone’s screen, taking a screenshot is required. However, rapid access to shortcuts is still quite useful.
