Everybody has experienced the realization that a texted message contained an error. Regretfully, after a message is delivered. The greatest Android texting applications make it simple to alter the texts you send. The lone exception is Google Messages, which does not allow RCS message editing. However, Flags on the Messages beta software from December 2023 indicated that Google was developing this feature.

A recent report provides further details on the functionality and verifies that the ability to modify sent texts in Google Messages. TheSpAndroid claims that Google is developing an editing function for the Messages app. In the most recent beta, the feature seems to be concealed by a few flags.

When the functionality is enabled, you may utilize it by long pressing the message you want it to change. It is said that when you tap the pencil icon, a text editing box with the title “Editing message” would appear. Editing messages sent within the previous 30 minutes seems to be a function that customers will be able to utilize. It is also said that users would be able to view the altered message’s modification history.

The publication claims that if you attempt to activate the function at this time, the recipient won’t see the adjustments accurately if they haven’t already activated the option. The changes are said to appear as distinct notifications for anyone who hasn’t turned on the function. This information comes soon after it was discovered earlier this week that there may be an Instagram-like gesture for responding to messages.
