Google has updated its messaging with a bunch of enhancements during the past two months. These updates bring in a handful of visual updates along with animated emoji reactions. With the latest information, it seems like Google is ready to bring these reactions for its phone app. These reactions will be added to be used during phone calls as they’ll have multiple sound effects.
A code was found in Google phone app version 124 (beta) indicating this feature, that might be called Audiomoji, as reported by SmartDroid.de. This feature is a sound-based reaction that can be added in between your phone calls. For now, there’re six of these reactions that you can use from; sad, applause, celebrate, laugh, drumroll, poop.
Moreover, Assemble debug reported these Audiomojis to be coming with animations that’ll be displayed on the screen with sound effects. Although there was only one of them available for now. As unveiled via these sources, the one with Drumroll animation from phone’s app code.
How these Audiomojis will be enabled in the Phone app is still unknown. According to AssembleDebug, Google might only be able to use this capabilities with the Call Screen feature or just make it available on the call screen. Whether the accompanying animation for the sound effect reaches the caller on the other end will be interesting to watch.
According to AssembleDebug, Google appears to have removed the flags and strings associated with the functionality later. Audiomojis, formerly known as sound reactions, may have been in development since September of last year. However, it appears that the business is still interested in it and intends to bring it back under the Audiomoji brand.
Unlike some of the company’s other apps, the Google Phone app doesn’t typically receive many upgrades. Though we might have to wait a while as Audiomojis are now limited to the beta version, this new addition has the potential to be one of the largest in recent memory.
