Google Now Allows you to Search for Text in Pictures

Google made an announcement on Twitter that it will launch new AI features for its Lens platform that will enable users to search for Text in Google Photos library within the photos and screenshots. It will thus become easier for users to copy and paste the relevant text into a document or note.

Optical character recognition (OCR) is the technique that is used to make these features work. According to news reports, the feature is available on a few Android devices but not on iOS as of yet.
