Google Pixel Watch 4 Leak Reveals Brighter Display, Better Battery, Same Price

A good month before the official presentation, numerous details on the Google Pixel Watch 4 appeared. In addition to technical specifications, new health functions and the alleged prices that surprise positively are also leaked.
Everything about the old and yet better
The Google Pixel Watch 4 is in the starting blocks. For August 20, Google invited to its “Made by Google” event, where, in addition to the new Pixel 10 smartphone series, the fourth generation of the in-house smartwatch is also to be presented. As usual in the run -up to such events, numerous details about the upcoming wearables have already been leaked. In addition to the known design, this also includes information about the available colors and the improved repairability.
Life -saving functions and better endurance
Now there are also further news about the functions of the smartwatch and at the prices that Google will supposedly request. How Android headlines reports, the Pixel Watch 4 receives a significantly brighter display with up to 3,000 nits top brightness. This corresponds to the level of the Apple Watch Ultra and the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 8.
The battery life has also been improved. For example, the 41 mm model with a 325 mAh battery should hold out for up to 30 hours with an activated always-on display, while the 45 mm version with its 455 mAh battery should even reach for 40 hours. One of the largest innovations is the continuous blood oxygen measurement (SPO₂), which now monitors the oxygen content in the blood in real time and sounds an alarm at low values. This function complements the existing detection of pulse loss and could save lives in emergencies. In addition, there is the new satellite emergency communication, which together with existing functions such as Emergency SOS, creation and accident recognition forms a comprehensive security package.
Prices remain stable
As with the Pixel 10 series, the price of the Pixel Watch 4 remains loud Dealabs Surprisingly the same. The Pixel Watch 4 costs just as much in Europe as the direct predecessors. For the 41 mm version, 399 euros (Wi-Fi) or 499 euros (LTE) are due in accordance with, while the 45 mm variant for 449 euros (Wi-Fi) or 549 euros (LTE) will be available. The pre -orders should start immediately after the presentation on August 20, with a market launch on August 28th. This price strategy shows Google’s efforts to remain competitive despite improved functions. However, maintaining the prices with increasing production costs could also mean that Google saves in other places or accepts lower margins.

Strong competition
With these improvements, Google positions its smartwatch more than competition for the Apple Watch. The processor remains the same, but the improved battery life, the lighter display and the extended health and security functions could make the Pixel Watch 4 an attractive alternative for Android users. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen whether these upgrades are sufficient at the same price in order to exist against the established competition.
