Google Play Games App Coming Soon To Windows
Google Play Games app will come in 2022 for Windows.
Google will bring Android games to Windows PCs in 2022. The company will release a Google Play Games app for Windows. Users will be able to download and play games on their laptops, PCs, and tablets.
Talking about this reform, Greg Hartrell, Google’s product director of games on Android and Google Play said:
Starting in 2022, players will be able to experience their favorite Google Play games on more devices: seamlessly switching between a phone, tablet, Chromebook, and soon, Windows PCs.
This Google-built product brings the best of Google Play Games to more laptops and desktops, and we are thrilled to expand our platform for players to enjoy their favorite Android games even more.
Google built this app keeping in mind the convenience it may offer to the player. So if you’re playing a game on your desktop PC, you may then resume the game on another device such as a phone, tablet, or Chromebook. This app was built by Google alone. No partner helped the company develop this app, as confirmed by the company to The Verge.
Hartrell further added:
This will be a native Windows app distributed by Google, which will support Windows 10 and up. It will not involve game streaming.
Google hasn’t shared a release date for this gaming app for Windows, but the company has confirmed its availability on systems in 2022. Google will distribute the app itself and won’t require any special integration with Windows 11.
