Google Search and Maps Now Showing COVID-19 Vaccination Centres in India

Google sends love to India by showing Covid-19 vaccination locations in the country. In a blog post, Karen DeSalvo, MD, M.P.H., Chief Health Officer, Google Health, said:

As more people have access to the COVID-19 vaccine, we’re making it easier to learn why, when and where you can get immunized

This feature is now available on Google Search and Maps. When you search for Covid-19 vaccine locations on Google Maps, you’ll be directed to view all the nearby vaccination centres, as noted.

On Google Search, you will see a host of information related to the Covid-19 vaccination. On the left side, there’ an option “Where to get it,” and click it; you’ll be able to check the nearest vaccination centre from your location. It also gives an overview of the vaccination drive, like how many have been vaccinated in India, how many doses have been given, and the percentage of the total population receiving the vaccination.

“As we’ve learned throughout the pandemic, no one is safe from COVID-19 until everyone is safe,” DeSalvo added in the blog post, “Getting vaccines to everyone around the world is a challenging but necessary undertaking. We’ll keep doing our part and working together until we get there,”
