Google Translate receives the material you design update for conversation mode
Google first unveiled the Material You design language for Android at least a few years ago. The Material You design language is currently used by the entire operating system and most stock apps. Nonetheless, Google Pay is among the apps that continue to utilize the outdated design language. Recently, the business unveiled an updated version of Google Translate for select areas.
Google Translate’s most recent upgrade, version 8.0, includes Material design of the app now resembles the home screen when you adapt the design language to the Conversation mode. You can continue speaking while using the app’s automated language detection feature, which translates your language to the other on the fly.
The Settings menu allows you to adjust the text size and enable or disable automated voice playback for the converted language. You must tap the microphone button, which transforms into a gear-shaped button with animations.
You may enter split-screen mode by clicking the conversation box at the top of the screen. In this mode, the bottom half of the screen is angled for you, while the top half displays text to the other user based on their orientation. This new design incorporates several Material You design aspects, including accent colors for the slider and buttons. It also includes curved edges in different portions of the user interface.
You may now download the most recent version of the Google Translate app from the Google Play Store. However, this version of the app may not be available to everyone right now, and Google may release it in phases.
