Hackers Stole Apple MacBook Pro Plans From The Supplier Quanta Computer Demands $50 Million

A few days ago, Taiwan based Apple’s Supplier Quanta computer was attacked by hackers. According to the details, hackers got hands-on confidential documents and data including MacBook Pro future plans, images, drawings and extorted Quanta to pay $50 million before April 27. , Otherwise, the ransom continues to double.

Several of the drawings have been published by the user REvil on the dark web, involving a new generation of MacBook Pro. This happens rarely when we got some leaked information about the upcoming product via hack and not lead, Apple previously tightens measures to curb Apple product leaks before its final product. However, this accident this time happened outside Apple.

The Data

The drawings and data show that the new generation of MacBook Pro is indeed equipped with a MagSafe magnetic charging port, SD card slot, HDMI interface, 3 Thunderbolt 3, 1 USB-C, etc., and cancels the one above the C-side keyboard, touch bars.

In the leaked document, the product models are J314 and J316, which seem to be the new generation 14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro in the rumour. It is not difficult to guess that the new MBP will most likely be equipped with Apple’s self-developed M1 processor.

According to hackers, if no payment is received before May 1, more confidential documents will be published. Apple responded that it is investigating, Quanta only confirmed that the attack was true and refused to disclose more information.
