Hangouts Chat notifications now let you snooze for 30 minutes to 8 hours

You would now be able to prevent Hangouts Chat notifications from breaking your focus when you’re in the zone… or on the other hand taking a short rest after an unpleasant undertaking. Google has updated its Slack rival with the capacity to square notifications for a set measure of time – simply tap on your status button and look over the rest notice choices in the drop-down menu.

You can block alarms for as short as 30 minutes to as long as 8 hours, yet you need to do as such physically each time and can’t set a timetable for it. This gives Hangouts Chat notifications to not pop up when you are in no mood to attend to them.

As indicated by 9to5google, your partners will know whether you’ve just blocked notifications by taking a gander at the status marker. A purple crescent moon implies you’re on the web yet have napped warnings, and opening the private talk window will appear until the point that what time you can’t be disturbed. While useful for shorter stints, this is not a DND functionality that can be scheduled to trigger everyday. Such a feature would be a nice addition for users who leave open Slack or any other messaging client throughout the day and night.
