Honor 50 Series is Expected to Bring Back Google Apps
Since Honor is no longer a sub-brand of Huawei, we are expecting to see Google apps in the coming Honor 50 series.
We have already talked about the new Honor 50 series, which is expected to come in June this year. The series will consist of Honor 50, 50 Pro, and 50 Pro+ devices and will come with a Snapdragon 888 SoC. We now learned that this series might come with Google apps. What’s the big news here? Let’s go a little back.
We already know that Honor was initially launched as a sub-brand of Huawei. The parent company faced some big US sanctions that led the company to release the handsets with Google, which was a pretty big loss. And being a sub-brand of Huawei, Honor had to face similar issues. But this is soon going to over since Honor is no longer a sub-brand of Huawei but an independent entity.
According to the source, the new phones will still run MagicUI, but Honor says it will include several exclusive features on top of it. The Honor 50 series would come with Google apps, which would mark a big step forward for the company as it seeks to renter the global smartphone market scene and regain its lost territories.
June is not so far from us, and we expect the new Honor 50 series to come in this month. We hope to see the new series full of the company’s own goodies, besides Google apps.
