Honor Power a new mid-ranger with 8000mAh battery
With the Honor Power, the former Huawei subsidiary Honor introduced a new mid-range smartphone with the Honor Power, which is particularly noticeable by a gigantic battery. The device retains its normal construction and size, but should be able to run much longer.
Outside a normal smartphone
At first glance, the Honor Power looks like most current smartphones, and basically adapted a lot that you know from other models of the brand. At the center of the event is a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, the edges of which are rounded back on all sides. The panel dissolves high with 2700 x 1224 pixels and reaches up to 120 Hertz maximum refresh rate.
The manufacturer specifies the absolute lace brightness with 4000 candela, although this should of course only be achieved in a small area and in automatic mode. The panel has a sub-display fingerprint reader and has a pill-shaped neckline for the front camera again.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, i.e. a strong Octacore SoC, is under the hood with up to 2.63 gigahertz, the Honor combined with eight or 12 gigabytes of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of internal flash memory. There is also a main camera with 50 megapixels and optical image stabilizer, the Honor provides a 5 MP cam for ultra-wake angle shots.
The front camera works with 16 megapixels. The peculiarity of the Honor Power is the battery, which is an 8000mAh battery. This is built on the basis of the silicon-carbon technology that has so far been relatively unusual for smartphones and can therefore offer more capacity with a similar size than a normal model. Despite the gigantic battery, the Honor Power is only 7.98 millimeters thick and weighs 209 grams.
Honor has only announced the new “Power” smartphone for China, where there should be a base price for the equivalent of around 250 euros. It is currently still unclear whether a launch in Europe is possible because there are certain restrictions on the battery capacities of smartphones in this country. However, there are also various Rugged smartphones that often come up with much larger batteries.
