How to Pin Chats on WhatsApp

WhatsApp is undoubtedly one of the leading apps in the world with over 1.5 billion subscribers and counting. Thus, every other day some new feature is added to the app to make it more user-friendly. In this article, we will tell our readers about the ‘Pinned Chat’ feature. This feature pins the most important and quickly accessible chat on the top. Thus users would not have to scroll through many chats to find the one they need.

Here is how to Pin Chats on WhatsApp. Android users just need to long-press on the chat they want to pin. Once they do that a pin icon is shown on the top bar of the app. Tap on that icon and the chat will be pinned and placed before the other chats.

The iPhone users need to right swipe the chat they want to pin. ‘Mark as unread’ option and the Pinned option will be shown. They can tap the pin icon and get the chat pinned.

If you want to unpin a chat you need to follow the similar procedure of long-pressing or swiping right on the pinned chat for Android and iPhone users respectively.

It is pertinent to mention here that WhatsApp allows three chats at a time to be pinned. The chats can be individual or group chat.
