Huawei Teases Mate 30 Pro Gesture Control Ahead of Australia Launch

Huawei Australia has just started teasing Huawei Mate 30 Pro in the Australian market, the company has tweeted the Mate 30 Pro Gesture control via its official Huawei Australia Account.

Huawei has launched Mate 30 Pro on September 19 in China and other markets, the premium device is now considered for Australia launch, earlier Huawei confirmed to Gizmodo Australia that Huawei Mate 30 Pro is definitely launching in Australia and it is coming soon.

It is expected that Huawei will launch Mate 30 Pro in Australia somewhere in November, Huawei Mate 30 Pro displays 6.5-inch OLED screen with a huge 4500mAh battery to power up. The phone has quad-camera at the rear with a combination of 40MP+40MP+8MP+3DTOF Lenses, The cameras consist of Wide-lens, Ultra-wide lens, Telephoto lens, and depth lens respectively.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro will not have direct access to Google Apps and services as they used to come pre-installed in Huawei devices, however, the apps are accessible through Huawei App Store which has access to over 45,000 apps that are integrated into Huawei Mobile Core services. The phone runs on Open Source Android and EMUI 10 out of the box.

The device uses Kirin 990 SoC under the hood with a G76 16-core GPU for better photography and gaming performance. The phone also has IP68 Water and dust resistance, Mate 30 Pro also supports W40 superfast charging as well as wireless charging.

The phone also uses an In-screen fingerprint scanner, 3D depth biometric face unlock.

The Gesture Control

As per Huawei, there are four navigation gestures:

  1. swipe sideways from the edge of the screen to go back to the previous screen
  2. swipe up from the bottom of the screen to go back to Home screen
  3. swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold to open the Recent tasks list
  4. swipe up from the bottom corners to access Google Assistant
