HyperOS will be rolled out to global Xiaomi smartphones by Q1 2024

Finally, we have come across the list of Xiaomi smartphones that will receive the HyperOS updates. One thing to notice here is that the updates won’t be rolled out to all models of global smartphones. The smartphones will receive the updates by Q1 next year. Recently, GSMChina shared the list of eligible smartphones. According to the source, the list has been officially authorized by a Xiaomi server. It contains nine devices that exclude the Xiaomi 14 series since it will come with pre-installed HyperOS on global as well as local Chinese models.

Which global Xiaomi smartphones will receive the HyperOS update?

The other devices on the list include the Xiaomi 13 series (Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 13T, and Xiaomi 13T Pro), the Xiaomi 12T, and the Xiaomi 11T. Besides the smartphones, the Xiaomi Pad 6 will also get the HyperOS updates. Expectedly, more devices will receive the updates but later, given the gradual rollout of HyperOS.

Currently, only Xiaomi’s latest flagships run HyperOS

At the moment, only the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, which debuted in China, are based on HyperOS. The company will roll out the updates to other local devices in December 2023. HyperOS is intended to completely replace MIUI. Here, Xiaomi decided to rename and make some UI adjustments. But from what we’ve seen thus far, HyperOS does resemble MIUI quite a bit from the design side, at least. Only time will reveal whether the global version differs from this perspective or not.
