In March 2024, Apple plans to release two iPad Air and two iPad Pro OLED versions
According to some recent pieces of information, the Cupertino-based tech firm Apple is working on several new models of the iPad. Reportedly, the company is working on two different variants with different sizes of the next-generation iPad Air. Well, this is going to be the first time that the company will introduce the iPad Air in more than one display size. In the past, there was no indication of the sizes from any authentic source; however, we have it now.
Mark Gurman has shared some insights about the features of the 6th-generation iPad Air in his new report. In addition to this, Gurman has shared a revised schedule for the release of the forthcoming iPad Air models. Furthermore, he claims that the new iPad Air models will be accompanied by two iPad Pro models featuring OLED displays.
According to Gurman’s report, the new iPad Air models will come in 10.9-inch and 12.9-inch display sizes whereas the current iPad Air features a 10.9-inch display size. According to Gurman, like the current model, the display of the two new iPad Air models will be based on LCD technology. On the other hand, the screens of the iPad Pro models will use OLED technology and will come in 11-inch and 13-inch displays.
Upcoming iPad models will debut in early 2024
Some previous reports suggested that the iPad Air models will arrive in Q1 next year, whereas the iPad Pro models will debut in the second quarter of 2024. In contrast to this, Mark claims that all four models will debut early next year, pointing towards the possibility of a single launch event for all four upcoming models.
A new Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard are also in the works
Reportedly, the company is also working on the third-generation Apple Pencil and a new Magic keyboard. Currently, there are no details about upgrades to the Apple Pencil, but perhaps it could feature a USB Type-C port. The Magic Keyboard, on the other hand, is reported to arrive with an aluminum frame.
