In the most recent Pixel Feature Drop update, a crucial battery statistic for Pixels is eliminated
Reportedly, the tech giant Google added several new features to the Pixel ecosystem via its March 2024 Pixel Feature Drop. Notably, the Circle to Search feature was rolled out to several new devices. Besides this, the update added the Ultra HDR support for Instagram and some other features. In addition to the new features, the update seems to be missing out an essential feature that was available in the past.
According to a Reddit user, the new update misses out on the battery cycle count and other battery information stats from the Pixel 8. Users can find the details about the battery health by clicking on Settings and approaching the About Phone section. The Battery Information section can be found here. According to the Reddit user, the March 2024 Pixel Feature Drop update has perhaps removed this feature.
Previously, this feature was available. It indicates Battery Information. Users can view the details like manufacturing date of the device’s battery and the cycle count. This statistic allows you to perform a basic battery health check on your phone. The feature was implemented in Android 14, but with the most recent March 2024 Feature Drop (which is still based on Android 14), it was abruptly deleted.
It appears to be bug. We expect that the company adds the Battery Information stats with the next update. Till then, wait patiently.
