Over the past few years, Meta has been adding new features across all its social media platforms. With the addition of new features, communication and expressing oneself on social media platforms have become extremely easy. Instagram’s Notes function is currently being improved with the addition of videos and enhanced reply capability.
A few months ago, Instagram debuted Instagram Notes, which is sort of a status update. Previously, it had text support; however, it is ready to receive support for videos now. However, it will only support two-second videos that can be looped. Even users can add text captions to videos. Filters and other effects are also available for those brief videos that are uploaded to Notes, as normal. Videos in Notes will disappear 24 hours after they are posted, just like other video status updates do.
Furthermore, the company is adding some more elements to the reply section of the Notes. Users can now send audio messages, images, videos, stickers, and GIFs. The Note uploader will receive replies to Notes on Instagram as direct messages in their chat inbox. According to the company, the Notes feature is quite popular among teens.
In addition to this, the platform is receiving another tool that will help users remove spam content from social media sites. The automated detection system developed by the company detects spam content like comments, story views, tags, and followers. The spam can identify spam content and users and flag it.
Additionally, the organization assists users in determining whether the content they publish complies with requirements. Users will receive an in-app message alerting them to any violations of Instagram’s content regulations when a post or other content is found to be inappropriate. With an upcoming upgrade, the Hidden Words tool—which was first made available in 2021—will be able to remove potentially spammy content from comments and feeds.
