Instagram users can now choose to share their stories and posts just with close friends

Instagram is a popular social media platform. It enables users to share their content with everyone. However, a future update might enable users to share content with just close friends. Users could hide their posts so everyone reports BGR (PhoneArena).

Whenever a user post on Instagram, the post can be viewed by the followers as well as non-followers since this is the actual agenda of a social media platform. However, there are some posts that users can only post for a selected group of people. Suh a feature is already available on Twitter under theTwitter Circles. Users can share their tweets with a specified group of followers.

A user named Alessandro Poliuzi posted the information about the yet-unseen feature on Twitter. A new Audience button and a Close Friends label can be seen in the shared images. Well, there is no information on when the company will release the new feature. If this information is believed to be correct, then we can expect a type of exclusivity to Instagram.

Of course, it will depend on users whether they want to turn on the close friends feature or not since some users might not appreciate this feature and posts for the general public. It would be wonderful if the firm allowed users to upload some posts with the option to reserve them exclusively for their closest friends. The same is possible when using stories. In any case, having this feature will be intriguing.
