Intel starts graphics driver update with support for Alder Lake CPUs

Intel has just released an updated edition of their graphics driver that is compatible with Windows 10 and 11. Its new version is 30.0.101.1191. This update does not only bring many improvements but also supports the brand new Alder Lake CPUs. Intel has announced a new graphics driver update that is available for all available Windows 10 versions. The update is now available for all fully supportable Windows 10 versions, ie from 20H2 and later, and is immediately available.

What’s unique is that the latest version has full support for the brand new Intel Alder Lake processors for the first time. It is only for devices that have Alder Lake. Twelveth Generation Intel Core processors are now available, previously only available from the sixth to the eleventh generation. As usual, Microsoft delivers the updates via its Windows Update feature. If you’re not willing to wait for updates, you can manually install the update. We have the general Intel driver update software to download (more about this at the bottom of the article).

Current issues

However, there remain certain known issues, like intermittent freezes or crashes that have been reported in relation to CrossFire, FIFA 21, Forza Horizon 4, Watch Dogs: Legion, and many more. Similar issues are present within Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Horizon Zero Dawn as well as Far Cry 6. There are other graphic glitches in a variety of games. You can learn more details about this within the Intel Release Notes

The driver needs a minimum of Windows 10 version 20h2 or November Update, and the 12th-generation Intel Core processors. Older CPU models received the update in December. The version number for related hardware settings is 30.0.101.1191. You can also locate this version in the WinFuture download section. Intel provides drivers via an Intel Graphics Control Room application accessible in the Windows Store and on the Intel website to download.
