iOS 18 Update Is Exciting With These Innovations

With the fourth beta version of iOS 18 in the developer program, new features are being launched for testing: These include CarPlay wallpapers, accessibility features and improved settings – you can also try out iPhone mirroring in conjunction with MacOS Sequoia.

What’s new in the iOS preview

The latter is not yet available in Germany, however – and it is still unclear when the feature will be launched here. Apple has now released the fourth update to developers and is gradually releasing new features. The first preview versions are now available in the public beta program, so the updates are slowly but surely becoming more interesting.

The fourth developer beta of iOS and iPadOS 18 has the build number 22A5316j.

Developer Program

Registered developers can participate in the betas by opening the Settings app on their device, going to the Software Update section, tapping the “Beta Updates” option and activating the beta setting there. To download and install the beta, you will always need the Apple ID that is linked to the respective user account. iOS 18 has recently become available not only as part of the developer program. This means that end users can now also use the beta, although the release is always delayed. iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 will be released to all users in the fall – probably mid-September.

In addition to the iOS beta, Apple has also released new preview versions for iPadOS 18, tvOS 18, MacOS Sequoia, watchOS 11 and visionOS 2. So there is a lot to try out.
