According to several leaks, “iPhones are going 120 Hz this year.” This is not a rumor anymore since we have sold grounds to believe that it is true.
According to a recent leak, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will get the new LTPO AMOLED screens with 120 Hz refresh rates. These will be made by Samsung Display, and Samsung Electro-Mechanics will supply the rigid-flexible printed circuit boards (RFPCB).
It is said that the RFPCB is rigid but can be folded. It allows for more convenient product designs and does offer faster transmission of electric signals.
Earlier, we heard that Samsung Electro-Mechanics would exit the RFPCB business as it wasn’t profitable for the company. However, we now believe that this may happen after the iPhone 13 generation.
We heard that Samsung Display would supply 110 million panels for iPhones this year, 50 million to LG Display, and 9 million to BOE.
