The video showcases some users who took advantage of this feature. Early in 2023, some UI elements suggested that satellite texting support might come to Google Messages in the future. The reports indicated that Garmin will collaborate with Google for this feature.

In addition to this, some reports point out that the Mountain View-based company might utilize Garmin’s current infrastructure to debut a feature similar to Apple’s Emergency SOS via satellite service. One thing to notice here is that the emergency SOS via satellite services by Garmin is available in around 150 regions.
