iPhone 15 To Have Thinner Bezels: Images Revealed

The changes planned by Apple for the iPhone 15 are still a secret. But now there is another leak that concerns an older rumor about the new device design: Pictures indicate thinner edges on some models.

Display glasses and protective foils reveal secrets

The picture comes from the ranks of a supplier and shows a total of eight display glasses and protective films that are intended for the iPhone 15 family. The picture was posted by the well-known leaker Ice Universe on Twitter @UniverseIce.

This photo suggests that Apple will now be introducing thinner bezels on the iPhone 15, at least on some models, compared to current models.

Slim edges

It is noticeable that the screens of the iPhone 15 Pro models have significantly slimmer edges compared to the other two variants. Back in March, Ice Universe claimed that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have the thinnest bezels yet found on a smartphone.

CAD drawings

Ice Universe also got its hands on and published alleged CAD drawings of the iPhone 15 back in February. All previous information fits together.

Another detail is interesting. There is no cut-out on the iPhone 15’s display, which corroborates another rumor: Last year, display analyst Ross Young suggested that the Dynamic Island feature, originally introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro models, will apply to the entire iPhone 14 Pro model iPhone 15 range would be expanded. To do this, Apple would have to modify the cutouts in the iPhone display in order to be able to implement the UI feature.

Not much can be said about the credibility of the rumors. Ice Universe has a good track record of its previous (iPhone) leaks. Among other things, he became known for the apt prediction of a smaller notch on the iPhone 13. However, we won’t know for sure until Apple officially shows the new iPhones in the fall.
