Is MacBook Pro really providing a good battery life?

Apple MacBook Pro - 14 Inch & 16 Inch

The M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, which provide performance that is up to six times faster than that of previous-generation MacBook Pro models and support for up to 96GB of unified memory to keep up with demanding tasks and multitasks, are among the most notable improvements made to the MacBook Pro (2023). With support for fast charging, the battery life has also been increased, giving you up to an additional hour of use per charge, especially when compared to specific models of the MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs.

When streaming content through the Apple TV app and using the 14-inch model with the M2 Pro or M2 Max CPUs, Apple claims that the battery life can last up to 18 hours and up to 12 hours, respectively. This is made possible by the 67W USB-C power converter and 70Wh lithium-polymer battery that are supplied (this comes with the M2 Pro model with the 10-core CPU configuration). The 12-core M2 Pro versions and M2 Max models, on the other hand, include a 96W USB-C power adaptor. The 96W USB-C power converter is capable of fast charging in addition to providing extended battery life, depending on the model, so you may resume working more quickly than ever without it being bound to a power outlet.

In contrast, the 100-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery in the 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 Pro or M2 Max chip enables up to 22 hours of Apple TV movie playback and up to 15 hours of wireless web access. The outstanding 140W USB-C power converter is also capable of quick charging.

In contrast, the integrated 70-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery in the 14-inch MacBook Pro M1 Pro or M1 Max model enables up to 17 hours of Apple TV movie playback and up to 11 hours of wireless web browsing. The 100-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery in the 16-inch MacBook Pro with M1 Pro or M1 Max CPUs allows for up to 14 hours of wireless web browsing and up to 21 hours of Apple TV movie streaming. The chargers that come with each model are identical to those from this year’s model; the 14-inch base model’s charger is 67W, followed by chargers for other configurations that are 97W and 140W for the 16-inch model.

With the new M2 Pro or M2 Max MacBook Pro (2023), you will therefore enjoy around an hour more battery life compared to the MacBook Pro models with the M1 Pro and M1 Max processor. Another advantage of the M2 Pro and M2 Max CPUs in the MacBook Pro (2023) is what Apple describes to as “dramatic increases” in performance, connectivity, and productivity, as well as battery life. This laptop comes loaded with macOS Ventura, which has a plethora of changes in and of itself. These are just some of the factors that suggest the MacBook Pro (2023) will soon be regarded as among the greatest Macs available.
