Japanese Automaker Reveals 2018 Honda Accord

At an event held in the US, Japanese automaker Honda revealed 2018 Honda Accord.

The new Honda Accord has come with many alterations that include stimulating design, better dimensions, and more efficient engine options.

This 2018 Accord is lower and wider than the previous one and it claims a longer wheelbase. The design of the car has sharp front end with extended headlights and tail lights that are C-shaped and it has a smooth and sleek roof line.

The total weight of the car has been reduced by 50-80 kg as high-strength steel is used that makes for half of the structure of Accord and it is tied by wide use structural adhesives. The rigidity of car and crash strength has improved by it.

The base engine of Accord is 1.5-liter four-cylinder. The engine is turbocharged as well as direct-injected. The horsepower it generates is 192 at 5,500 rpm.

The 2018 Honda Accord would be the most fuel-efficient and fun to drive the car with its three innovative powertrains which include not just the current 1.5L and 2.0L turbocharged but also the next level two-motor hybrid system.

Coming to the safety systems of the car, it has Collision Mitigation Braking System along with Lane Departure Cautionary System, Road Departure Extenuation, Adaptive Cruise Regulator, and Blind Sport Observing with Cross Traffic and Driver Alertness Monitors. There are options of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity as well.

Lastly, the new generation Honda Accord will come with two driving modes – Normal and Sport, with the latter tightening the power steering, transmission calibration, throttle map and more
