Later this year, the new Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro will be released
It was previously rumored that the South Korean conglomerate Samsung is working on a Pro version of wireless earbuds. As of now, more details regarding this have begun to emerge. Previously, the information shared by @rquandt on X suggested that Samsung will debut the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro earbuds. However, no release timeline was shared by the source. But perhaps they are under development.
It has been a while since Samsung unveiled a completely new generation of the Galaxy Buds, with the exception of the recently released Galaxy Buds FE, which are a scaled-down version of Samsung’s wireless earbuds. That could alter later in the year, as it has come to light that Samsung is developing the brand-new Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.
Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will replace the Buds 2 Pro
Currently, the company offers the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in the pro-branded earbuds category. They were released back in August 2022. Instead of a new Pro version, the company introduced its first-ever Fan Edition wireless earbuds in 2023. The Galaxy Buds FE are low priced earbuds that lack the wireless charging feature for the case. However, they are not a replacement or successor to the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.
The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and Galaxy Buds 3 (model numbers SM-R530 and SM-R630, respectively) are reportedly under development, according to GalaxyClub. Additionally, Samsung is developing the firmware for both models. Recently, a certification of the battery used in the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro charging case appeared online as well, however it provided no precise details regarding its capacity.
At the moment, there are not many details about the upcoming Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. We have no clue which improvements will be a part of the new earbuds. However, some recent reports claim that they might arrive with on-device AI features that could help with real-time language translation.
There is no timeline or release schedule about the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro yet. Going by the company’s strategy, we can expect them to arrive alongside Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6 foldable phones later this year. For now, the new Galaxy S24 series from Samsung offers plenty of new AI features that assist users take the best pictures and movies and overcome language obstacles. It is a good option for users who wish to experience on-device AI and in the cloud.
