LinkedIn is experimenting a vertical video feed that looks like TikTok

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is a well-known professional networking giant. It is well-known for helping users with career connections and experts’ advice. With the latest updates, LinkedIn is experimenting with a new vertical video feed that looks like TikTok. Although the functionality hasn’t been made public, people have begun to notice it recently, and the business confirmed the tests to TechCrunch.

The new feed will show up in a distinct “video” tab in the LinkedIn app, according to a video uploaded to LinkedIn by influencer marketing executive Austin Null and a screenshot shared by Instagram employee Jenny Eishingdrelo. Similar to TikTok or Instagram Reels, users will be able to navigate between clips by scrolling vertically.

The business has previously adopted a popular format. Prior to now, LinkedIn tested out a Stories feature for posts that vanished. The professional network hinted at the time that it wasn’t done with its video experiments, stating it was working “to evolve the Stories format into a reimagined video experience across LinkedIn,” even though the function was discontinued after less than a year.

LinkedIn is presumably expecting that the feed will feature content from its network of thought leaders and professional artists, many of whom are already adding video to their feeds. It’s unclear, though, how many visitors to the website would be interested in a specific video feed with information connected to the workplace.
