Mark Zuckerberg And Elon Musk Disagree On AI And Its Future Implications

Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk had a cold war on the topic of Artificial intelligence and its future implications. Musk who is the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX believe that AI would replace humans and it is not a healthy sign. As for Zuckerberg, he seems quite positive about AI and what the future beholds.

This whole debate initiated when Zuckerberg was asked about Musk’s opinion on active control of AI before robots become a danger to human kind itself to which Mark replied that he is positive about AI and believe that the pessimistic side of people keeps trying to create doomsdays scenarios which are not just unhealthy it’s irresponsible as well.
Musk used social media platform “Twitter” to answer back to the remark made by Zuckerberg. He said that Mark’s understanding of the subject is pretty restricted.

So the situation is this that Facebook’s founder seems quite optimistic about AI while Tesla’s owner believes that AI is a threat to the human race.

In National Governors Association, Musk spoke in detail about it telling the people that he knows about everything related to AI and people should not take it easy. Until people would actually experience robots murdering people, they won’t understand the gravity of the situation.

On the other hand, Zuckerberg talks about the plus points of AI, safer cars without encountering any accidents, better diagnose of people, and a more advanced and progressive world. He said that if you argue against AI, you are arguing against all these benefits.
