Meesha Shafi’s Instagram Account Deleted or Deactivated
Meesha Shafi Instagram account has been deleted or deactivated.
Just a few days back Meesha Shafi accused Ali Zafar of sexual harassment via a tweet. Meesha in her tweet said that she has been subjected to sexual harassment of a physical nature at the hands of her colleague from industry, Ali Zafar.
In response to this Ali Zafar tweeted that he is aware & supportive of the global #Metoo movement. He denied all the claims made by Meesha Shafi and said that he will address this issue in court.
Since then many celebrities have come forward to show their support to one or the other. Everyone has shared an opinion or thought on this issue. Some celebrities have even come forward and shared their own sexual harassment incidents including Armeena Khan and Ayesha Omar.
Well, the case is now in the court and Meesha Shafi has already named her lawyers.
She recently tweeted
“I have appointed Barrister @pansota1 and @nighatdad as my legal counsels to look after all issues pertaining to my sexual harassment claim against Ali Zafar. Media is requested to contact them to get any update on the ongoing issue.”

But the question here is that why has Meesha deleted her Instagram account? Maybe she deleted her account on the advice of her lawyers, but as of yet, the reason is not confirmed.
Furthermore, there was also a news circulating that Ali Zafar has reportedly sent a legal notice to Meesha Shafi demanding her either to delete the tweet that accuses the singer and actor of harassment and issue an apology for defaming him or pay at least hundred million rupees under the defamation ordinance. But these reports were later dismissed.
