Merge Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram – Facebook

Facebook is working on merging Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram, in a way that users will be allowed to cross-message between the three apps.

All these apps will work independently as well but Facebook is trying to work on an underline infrastructure allowing the users who just have one of the apps to communicate with other users on a different app.

The end-to-end encryption will be available on all the apps. But as of yet Facebook has not revealed when it will be possible.

A Facebook spokesperson in a statement said, “We want to build the best messaging experiences we can; and people want messaging to be fast, simple, reliable and private.”

Adding, “We’re working on making more of our messaging products end-to-end encrypted and considering ways to make it easier to reach friends and family across networks. As you would expect, there is a lot of discussion and debate as we begin the long process of figuring out all the details of how this will work.”

In order to sustain its network and keep them engaged Facebook is working on the system through which its users can cross-message.

It will promote higher user engagement to advertisers and boost its advertising market.

Facebook has the highest number users available at any social media platform.

By taking this step it will not just sustain its users but also strengthen its place against competitors like iMessage of Apple and Google’s messaging apps.
