Microsoft incorporates Bing Search into ChatGPT

Microsoft owns OpenAI due to its huge investment of $10 billion. As a result of this investment, Microsoft has the opportunity to incorporate the chatbot ChatGPT into its search engine i.e., Bing. In this perspective, a report from Endgadget indicates that Microsoft has recently announced the incorporation of Bing searches into ChatGPT.

Well, this seems to be the reverse approach by Microsoft. Given the recent development, Bing will now serve as the default search experience for ChatGPT. Such a merger is advantageous for both services. The ChatGPT can deliver more insightful data by utilizing Bing’s capabilities. Since the chatbot formerly used separate plugins to get data.

On the other hand, it will help Bing to expand its horizon and provide services to millions of users who used to rely on Google or other search engines. It seems to be a real danger to the current position of Google in the search market. Previously, Microsoft opened access to public testing for Bing AI.

Bing AI is now provided with various new features that offer a smooth AI experience. For instance, Bing AI can now summarize large files including PDFs and websites. In addition to this, the company has introduced support for hundred new languages to Bing Image Creator.

Furthermore, the company has introduced plugins for developers. Developers can now create as well as submit plugins for Bing, ChatGPT, and Microsoft 365 Copilot. The company has even added companies like Zillow, Klarna, and Expedia to Bing in-chat plugin options.

The functionality of any service could be improved by third-party plugins, and Microsoft wants to rely on the innovation of developers to outperform Google Bard. The tech behemoth also stated that the plugin platform will launch in the “coming weeks.” Last but not least, Microsoft declared that Bing access would soon be available to free ChatGPT accounts.

Microsoft is using ChatGPT and Bing to combat Google. Besides this, some sources suggest that OpenAI might introduce a new open-source language model that will possibly serve as a contender to ChatGPT Plus costing around $20 per month.
