Microsoft has various writing fonts available for its users, but a font with the name of a city has never been heard of before, until now. Microsoft developed the first ever typeface for a city. It is called “Dubai Font” and it was launched by Dubai government on Sunday, 30th April 2017. The font is accessible in 23 languages, with script in both Latin and Arabic. More than 100 million Office 365 users can take advantage of this new unique font.
The Dubai Crown Prince Hamdan bin Mohammed al-Maktoum has adopted the strategy for the spread of this Dubai font by recommending government institutions to use it in official communication.
The Executive Council of Dubai owns the font and state that this step towards progress of the nation. It highlights the vision of United Arab Emirates to advance in becoming a global innovator.

It also wants to come up as the happiest country by opting a happiness minister in its cabinet.
