Microsoft Office Getting a Native 64-bit Ar Version

The next Microsoft Office for Windows 11 will come with a native 64-bit Arm version. This would improve performance on large or picture-filed documents. The statement came out from Microsoft.

The list of supported CPUs includes a handful of Qualcomm chips, which uses the Arm-powered Surface Pro X to show off the tablet capabilities of its new OS.

According to The Verge, the new Office version has a beta version, which is available only to Office Insiders.

Those not in the Office Insider program could also test out 64-bit Office on their Arm Windows machine but will have to be running the Windows 11 Insider Preview. They’ll have to uninstall any 32-bit versions of Office they may have installed.

The new stable version would also get a new design. The design will follow its Windows version and be available if you’re running Windows 11 Preview or Windows 10. In addition to this, this new Office version will also have a light and dark mode.
